The Promise of a Practice:

A practice doesn’t expect you to show up all happy and smiles. It doesn’t have any expectations at all really. A practice holds you to one promise and one promise only: to show up. You don’t have to have it all together. You can be a simpering mess. You do not have to come with your glow on. You can show up all prickly with confusion, or feeling infused with sadness. A practice holds space for it all. In return for the presence a practice brings, it only asks that you show up and bring your own presence. It has this miraculous way of blessing whatever you bring into it, and as a result, you grow and are transformed.
