Joan M. Brennan is the inventor of the physical and digital Reading Focus Cards for challenged readers of all ages (U.S. Patents 7,565,759 & 8,360,779). The first prototypes for her reading tools were designed and created as a result of the student needs in her own classroom. A graduate of the University of Missouri-St. Louis with teaching certification from the State of Missouri (K-12), she has taught grades 6 through 8 for more than 15 years.
She is the mother of four sons, reading specialist, instructor in the College for Kids (Gifted) Program at St. Louis Community College-Meramec and the founder of Brennan Innovators, LLC, which designs and provides her reading tools made in St. Louis to parents, teachers and schools in the U.S. and around the world. The company also presents professional educational development workshops in the Greater St. Louis Area.
