Bio
I help women and organizations navigate change, stress, and transition with grounded, nervous-system–informed care. Over 9,000 clients served through integrative, somatic, and mindfulness-based work.
I’m Bonnie Sheldon, an integrative practitioner and somatic educator supporting individuals, leaders, and organizations in restoring steadiness, clarity, and embodied resilience during periods of complexity and change.
My work blends somatic practice, EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques), mindfulness, nervous system regulation, and movement-based approaches to support sustainable well-being for people navigating personal transitions, leadership pressure, health challenges, burnout, or high-demand environments.
Over the past three decades, I’ve worked with women, professionals, executives, creatives, healthcare providers, veterans, and organizations seeking humane, effective approaches to well-being and performance. My work has been shared through partnerships with organizations including the Wounded Warrior Project, Trinity Cathedral (Miami), and corporate wellness and leadership programs across multiple industries.
Earlier in my career, I served as Group Director at Young & Rubicam Brands, where I worked on large-scale consumer health and public education initiatives, including the transition of Advil to over-the-counter access — an experience that deeply informs how I bridge embodiment, accessibility, and systems-level thinking in my work today.
I also bring lived experience to this practice. Having navigated significant health challenges myself, I understand the importance of care that is not only effective, but respectful, regulated, and sustainable over time.

More About Me: My journey has taken me through various fields and roles, from dance to business to ministry to EFT. Along the way, I have learned from pioneers and experts, overcome challenges and obstacles, and touched the lives of thousands of people. As a compassionate empath, I understand the difficulties life can bring, and I co-work with my clients to achieve a sense of self-mastery and ease of empowered mind and movement.
I started as a dancer and choreographer, studying at Princeton University while dancing in NYC. I faced difficulties with my dance performance due to physical disability caused by problems at birth, but I did not give up – I discovered the new, as yet un-named field of Somatics, which taught me how to experience and heal my body from within. I became a Body-Mind Centering Practitioner in NYC and continued my dance career while also studying with other somatic pioneers like Moche Feldenkrais. I later worked as a dance therapist at Bellevue Hospital and helped establish dance therapy as a profession at Hunter College.
When dancing became too physically challenging, I switched to business, joining Young and Rubicam Brands, Inc., the then world’s largest ad agency. In three years, I rose from account coordinator to Group Director.
Even as I became more physically disabled, I experienced a calling to return to service. I pursued ministry and training at Union Theological Seminary and the School for Ministry of the S.E. Florida Episcopal Diocese. I worked as a minister at Trinity Cathedral in Miami, where I founded and directed a program for homeless families with disabled breadwinners. I helped 300 families a year achieve safe homes and financial independence. By this time, I had long been diagnosed with Systemic Sclerosis with a 6-month prognosis but had already outlived that prognosis repeatedly and felt a deep surge of the life force within, enabling me to move beyond medical expectations.
I left the ministry for a wider theology as I had been studying meditation and yoga philosophy with my guru from India for 25 years at this point. So, I focused on helping people as a coach and mentor from a spiritual perspective that was no longer religion-specific and continued to work on my own health.
I became interested in Energy, becoming a Reiki Master and doing deep chakra work with my guru. I reinvestigated my studies of shamanism, working with contemporary shamans, going beyond the indigenous shaman work I had done early in my life.
It was through my always passionate search for out-of-the box health solutions that I discovered EFT, or Emotional Freedom Techniques, also known as ‘Tapping’ fairly early in it’s development as a methodology, started tapping in 2010. I became an EFT Practitioner as EFT became scientifically validated and found great joy in helping people overcome various issues, including veterans with PTSD in the Wounded Warrior Project. I created the Heartbreak Rescue program for divorced and separated women, serving hundreds of women who were rebuilding their lives.
It’s a joy to continue serving in the rewarding fields of health and wellness through individual coaching, group workshops and trainings, and corporate wellness programs.
