Ever have one of those days where your brain decides to host an all-out, exclusive pity party—and you’re the only guest? 🥳🤦♂️
The soundtrack usually features chart-topping hits like “Life sucks!” or the fan-favorite remix, “Why can’t I ever get anything right?!” 🎶😫
Back in the day, I was an expert at throwing these parties. My mental playlist usually cycled through two classic genres (sometimes played simultaneously on double-speed):
🌧️ The “Poor Me” Loop: Where I wrapped myself in a blanket of gloom and couldn’t stop feeling sorry for myself. Total tragedy film vibes. 🎻😭
🤦♂️ The “Stupid Me” Loop: Where my inner critic donned a referee whistle and loudly penalized me for doing everything “completely wrong.” 🛑🤦♂️
Can you relate? Have you ever found yourself RSVPing “YES” to your own pity party? 🙋♂️😅
Well, as tempting as it is to sit in the muck and eat emotional party snacks, there’s a kinder way to shut down the pity party without having to fake toxic “good vibes only” sunshine. ☀️🙅♂️
In my latest Substack article, I dive into why we get trapped in these loops and share a simple, powerful self-healing practice to help you shift the energy and get back on an even keel. ⚓✨
