LET’S PLAY A GAME!

HOW TO WIN: The winners are ALL OF US if we choose to be responsible and put the welfare of others before our personal need to go to the movies, dine out, go to bars, and spend optional time in large crowds. (This doesn’t apply to those who are required to work, need to get necessities, etc)

RULES:
1. Stay calm. No need to panic. You will be okay if you are responsible and stay informed.
2. Do not judge those who are taking this seriously. Seriously doesn’t translate into panic.
3. Learn the facts. Do your research and seek out real experts. (Great resource below.)
4. Do not blame others or create conspiracy theories. This is a WORLDWIDE pandemic that is affecting everyone.
5. Think about others. Help others. Your informed and responsible actions could save a life.

While this might not sound like a ‘fun’ game, you can make the most of this down time and social distancing. It’s rare that the entire world is being called to slow down and so imagine what could be learned, stronger relationships formed, projects started and finished, new dreams born, relationships healed (both with others and yourself) and the world coming together and showing up for one another with love and respect.

This isn’t about buying into fear or spreading negatively or fear. It’s about finding balance and remembering that this isn’t about you, it’s about all of us. You are my neighbor. What troubles you, troubles me. I wouldn’t want your mom or dad or child or loved one to get sick. It’s about simple respect and choosing the needs of all over the needs for only me.
Enjoy the stillness! Enjoy the quiet time! Get creative! Have conversations with your kids! Play a real board game! Get off phones! LIVE!
