Hello. I'm Patti Talbot (Patricia Talbot, Ed.D), CEO and Co-Founder of Blue Roads Education Group
My mission is to cultivate homegrown changemakers, solutionaries and social innovators ready to change the world.
I help leaders, and future leaders, find and develop the characteristics needed to live their highest calling for the world. By honoring our roots and transforming the way we show up and work with others, we transcend our roles as "good citizens" to become "global changemakers" who make the world a better place for all of humanity.
I'm fortunate to have been a part of the growth journey for people of all ages and stages of life. In turn, people with whom I've worked have gone on to cultivate changemakers in their own circles of influence. In this way, the "changemaker effect" multiplies and ripples out to create the world in which we all want to live.
I engage people in the Changemaker Journey through individual coaching, mastermind groups, webinars, courses, workshop facilitation and keynote speaking. My weekly blog/video/podcast series introduces the Changemaker Journey and features the work of powerful changemakers from all walks of life. You can access the series here or by looking for the Blue Roads Changemaker series on Youtube, Vimeo and wherever you get your podcasts.

Patricia A. Talbot, Ed.D. has over 35 years of experience in higher education and K-12 public education. Prior to founding Blue Roads Education Group in 2018, she served as an Associate Professor of Educational Leadership and Elementary Education in the School of Teacher Education and Leadership (STEL) at Radford University. Her eleven years as university faculty followed more than 25 years in Virginia’s Montgomery County Public School system as a classroom teacher, elementary counselor, school principal and Director of Instructional Services and Professional Development. She has been active in the leadership of a study abroad program for pre-service teachers in Malawi, Africa since 2008. This effort intensified her desire to “globalize” teacher and leader preparation particularly in rural areas like the Appalachian Mountain region she calls home. In recent years, she has expanded this work to include leaders and future leaders from across sectors and areas of specialization.
Talbot holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education, a Master of Arts degree in Pupil Personnel Services and a Doctor of Education degree in Educational Leadership, all from Virginia Tech. She is licensed by the Virginia Department of Education in the following areas: Division Superintendent, Administration and Supervision PreK-12, Elementary School Counselor, Elementary Grades 4-7 and Early Education NK-4.
