Kelly Daugherty
Bio
Kelly Daugherty, LCSW, FT is a licensed clinical social worker, traumatic grief specialist, and educator with over two decades of experience helping individuals navigate one of life’s most profound experiences — loss. Based in Malta, New York, Kelly works at the intersection of clinical expertise and compassionate connection, offering tools that are grounded in research and rooted in real life.

As a motherless daughter who has also experienced the death of her father, Kelly brings both professional knowledge and personal lived experience to her work. She understands grief not as something to move on from, but as something to move through — with skill, support, and intention.
Kelly is the founder of two businesses dedicated to grief education and healing: Kelly Daugherty, LCSW, PLLC, a private clinical practice offering individual and group counseling, IADC grief retreats, and the Healing Strides program; and the Center for Informed Grief, which provides education, training, and school-based grief programs. She is also a senior faculty member for EngagedMinds Continuing Education and co-host of the GRIEF Ladies podcast and GRIEF (Grounding, Rebuilding, Interacting, Evolving, Finding) Ladies Framework.

As lead author of The Grief Experience: Tools for Acceptance, Resilience and Connection and a contributing author in multiple collaborative books, Kelly is committed to expanding the conversation around grief — for individuals, families, and the professionals who serve them.
