How to be Happy

I have noticed an increase in the number of my clients who are experiencing chronic levels of stress. Perhaps this is due to the constant barrage of negative social media news or the stressful world news. All of those stressors add to existing life-stressors, and it’s simply too much for people to handle. Many are experiencing a malaise of hopelessness because of too many feelings of uncertainty, fear, and disappointment.

How do we reduce this level of stress and allow the opportunity for happiness?

I encourage you to begin by making the choice that you want to cultivate a feeling of joy. By opening yourself up to the possibility of a positive life, you can change your life experience for yourself and those around you. This process of consciously choosing to live in this present moment with a feeling of gratitude will manifest a sense of happiness in your life.

I love this quote from Ralph Marston, “Happiness is a choice, not a result. Nothing will make you happy until you choose to be happy. Your happiness will not come to you. It can only come from you.”
