I am a yoga teacher who focuses on bridging the gap between what happens on the mat and life off the mat.
Once upon a time, I was an angry New Yorker who was mindless in my actions and avoidant in my relationships with people I love. Yoga changed that. It changed me. I am a calmer, kinder, more present person because of the practices of yoga, and that's why I have such a passion for sharing them with the world.
What began as a purely physical practice led me to discover the many spiritual and mental benefits of a well-rounded yoga practice. It is through pranayama, asana, and meditation that I am able to tap into the sense of inner calm and self-acceptance that yoga brings, and I encourage students to do the same.
I completed my first yoga teacher training program in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico in the Vinyasa style of the Krishnamacharya lineage. I have also trained in the traditional Hatha yoga style, in Rishikesh, India.
It is my belief that yoga must be adapted to fit the student, not the other way around. I lead an alignment-based flow that is invigorating while accessible, bringing together elements of strength, flexibility, and balance. Through careful sequencing and themes, I encourage students to break through their perceived limitations both on and off the mat.
