Bio

My name is Laura Sharon, and I am an executive and life coach. I help accomplished, high achieving, mid-to-late career professional women who still feel empty, discontented, unfulfilled, and/or yearn for more. From a place of deep wisdom, warmth, kindness, compassion and respect, I hold a safe space for you to explore potential sources of angst such as stress, burnout, work-life challenges, Imposter Syndrome, unresolved grief, mid-life changes, relationship challenges, childhood issues, or you simply aren’t sure why you feel unfulfilled, unhappy, and/or discontented. I then guide you to transform your angst into calmness, contentment, and lasting peace.

Results You Can Expect

Working with me will help you become more calm, happy, content, and at peace with how you show up in life and at work. You will–

  • Reduce stress and anxiety
  • Develop more courage
  • Better cope with emotions
  • Release negative thoughts, feelings, and behaviors
  • Grow your mental fitness
  • Become more resilient in the face of adversity
  • Transform difficult life experiences into stories of courage and hope

I help you accomplish these outcomes through virtual and in person one-on-one coaching, virtual and in person workshops and retreats, and courses, and inspiring you by sharing my story through blogs and books.

“Laura Sharon’s wit and wisdom helped me to find inner strength and resilience to come to terms with issues I was facing at work and in my career. She provided resources, tools, and insight that helped me to navigate difficult situations and stay true to myself during the process. I highly recommend her for her listening skills, empathy, and ability to gently challenge you to be the best version of yourself possible, at work and beyond.” –-Public Health Advisor, HHS

“Laura Sharon’s approach embodies the true essence of coaching. It only took a session or two with Laura to unlock my passion and give me courage to move in a new direction. Her consultative approach enabled me to explore what was important in my life and the untapped skills that would support me as I navigate through unchartered territory. Laura did not tell me what to do, she enabled me to define my own path and then travel that road with a new sense of purpose and direction.” — Business Owner

I inspire others to be courageous, vulnerable, and truthful and to embody kindness, compassion, and joy in as many ways as possible. The values that guide me are always remaining humble, brave, and truthful while helping others be free of what burdens them. I have survived a messy journey and hold space for yours. I have been known to ask wildly open-ended questions and know that healing is possible if people are willing to take some risks, take responsibility for themselves, and stop blaming others for their circumstances. We are strong, and before we are anything else, we are all human beings.  I create and hold safe spaces for people to be just that. My life experiences have forced me to become an aspiring spiritual goddess.

I also have  a Master’s degree in Health Education and have been practicing mindfulness meditation and the 12-steps for decades. I facilitate programs based on the research of Brené Brown and am a regular yoga practitioner.  I also am the author of When I Lay My Hands on My Heart, a book of poetry and drawings—for therapists and other helping professionals working with trauma survivors—that chronicles how I used creativity as a tool for healing my childhood trauma.
