Raised in Naperville, IL, Kate was an athlete from the tender age of two, when her father, a professional tennis player, put a racquet in her hand. By the age of four, she began gymnastics and soccer which lasted throughout college, during which time she sustained her unfair share of injuries, and subsequent pain.
