Golden rays of sunlight warm my face

streaming shadows across the table

as my words dance from sunlight to shadows

with the same love and joy of the songbirds

lighting on the tips of branches singing in the morning

The only sounds I hear…music to my soul

My heart is full

Love for these little ones and the rising sun can only be

expressed by my gratitude and perhaps my words

For how does one thank the morning sun and the birds

as they usher in the morning with delight

Clearly, they have no awareness of the chaos in this world

No, they are each fully present in this moment…

singing, flitting from shrub to shrub, forging for breakfast of bugs and perhaps a worm

Little ones learn to fly and leave the nest.

Nature always has a message for me:

Awaken to your day with joy and a song in your heart.

don’t be distracted from your heart, your love, your soul.

Stay present.

Let the Light shine in…and

As you turn in for the night, slow down with the sunset

Quiet your song and close your eyes with gratitude in your heart and mind…

For another day well lived.
