T. Kari Mitchell
Hi, I’m T. Kari Mitchell, but most of my colleagues call me T.K. I am an Inspired Aging™ Motivational Speaker and Holistic Wellness Coach who prepares mature and seasoned women for living a fulfilling life.
As my friends and I were transitioning into retirement, I said this is not enough for us, retiring like our colleagues and parents did in the past. I knew I had more important work to do and this inspired me to start an empowerment movement that defies age and limitations — showing women how to unlock the secrets to reclaiming their health, confidence, purpose and power so can flourish in their golden years.
I started my own business at 62 and rededicated my life to inspiring women to unleash their personal power, in order to live the life they’ve always wanted.
After “graduating” from my 32-year teaching career, caring for my sick mother, and overcoming my own health challenges through lifestyle interventions, I began thinking about how a middle-aged woman could experience more joy and more prosperity in the second half of her life, and what would be the secrets to her success?
Because I truly wanted to help women step into their power and achieve what was important to them, I created Sprout Your New Life™, a comprehensive and sustainable program specifically designed to prepare mature and courageous women for their future. My empowerment curriculum looks at life holistically and provides tools to improve your relationships, your nutrition, your home environment and much more, while nurturing a deeper connection to spirit and the world.
I publish a weekly blog called Nourishing News and am the author of Sip the Garden: Fun, Easy Drinks for a Healthier Family. I am a regular contributor for Sixty and Me, a vibrant community of women over 60 and am an adjunct instructor and collaborator for The Virtual Brain Health Center.
Personal interests and leisure activities include writing; traveling to exotic destinations; keeping fit; creating gourmet, allergy-friendly recipes; spending time in nature; attending live theater and jazz performances; and taking piano lessons. My motto is live, learn, love, grow, and be a blessing to others.
