Bio

Nancy studied with Kripalu trained Genevieve Yellin and other master teachers at Sundara Yoga Therapy in 2011, certifying her at the 200hr level as a yoga instructor and integrative yoga therapist (IYT). During her teacher training, she was initiated by Guruji Shree Mohan Jadhav to practice Agnihotra, a cleansing Vedic fire ceremony. In 2012, she went on to take Genevieve's specialized training in trauma sensitive yoga (TSY), certifying her to work with people who have anxiety disorders, and/or have experienced emotional trauma in their lives and want to use yoga for self-healing and empowerment.

In 2012 and 2013, Nancy trained with Amy Rowland (reiki master and author of many widely used textbooks on reiki, including Traditional Reiki for Our Times and Reiki for the Heart and Soul), receiving both her level 1 and level 2 attunements from Amy. In 2015, Nancy received her Usui Reiki Master training and attunement from Georgy Janiewics and now offers Reiki 1 and Reiki 2 trainings.

From August 2013 to June 2014, Nancy undertook a Vedic philosophy intensive, learning the practice of Bhakti yoga and touring full-time around the United States, visiting college campuses, talking with students and professors about the benefits of yoga and sharing the rich spirituality she has found in her practice and study of the Vedic texts.

Nancy has been teaching studio classes and workshops throughout Pennsylvania since 2012. She was a featured presenter at the 2013 Namas Day Philly Yoga Festival. From 2011 onward she has maintained a home studio where she teaches private yoga sessions, small yoga and meditation classes, Bhakti yoga and Bhagavad-gita classes, Agnihotra events, and provides reiki treatments.
