I believe I was born to let people know they matter.
In 2000, I received a BS in Psychology and spent 10 years as a counselor, coach and behavior therapist. Though I love helping people, I missed having more time to be creative.
In 2007, I went back to school for a degree in Fashion Design. Today aRcana Creations makes weighted neck wraps, eye pillows and weighted blankets to ease pain and bring comfort to those with anxiety and other nervous/stimulation concerns. Custom Memory Bears are also something I make to help comfort those who have lost someone, or a keepsake for special moments in your life.
It was working in the corporate field where I learned my biggest lesson: Massages aren't just a luxury for the rich, but part of regular maintenance our bodies need to stay healthy and in balance with our mind and soul. Corporations bring in massage therapists to help the longevity and health of their employees. It's as important as diet and exercise.
With a passion to show people that they matter, I left my career in fashion and went to National Holistic Institute to be a Massage Therapist and Health Educator. Combining my past work experience as a counselor and coach with massage modalities, my mission is to work with individuals to co-create unique sessions to help them live the life they want to have.
In 2018, I became a Craniosacral Practitioner through the Upledger Institute. This modality facilitates healing for those with chronic pain, migraines, PTSD and has been shown to bring calm to those with autism.
In addition to my private practice, I also work at Burke Williams in Torrance, CA. Feel free to contact me if you are interested in getting a massage and experiencing the spa.
Originally from WI, I am loving the sunshine and year-round flowers in San Pedro, CA.
