Jean Nicol is retired, living in Pictou County, Nova Scotia, Canada. With a Nutrition Degree, 34 years as a teacher, Autism Consultant and Early Interventionist in 2007 she created The Eating Game. This was in response to a friend's cry for help with eating challenges of her autistic son. Success led to creating more Eating Games and a small home business, EYECAN CREATIONS Publications and a website www.theeatinggame.ca . Jean now owns Patent Rights in Canada and the USA for The Eating Game that continues to make a difference in the lives of many children and families internationally. Translations are available in French and Mi’kmaq and soon in Russian with the hope that many other languages will be available in the future.
Jean has a daily presence in a large international autism community on facebook, sharing information about autism (her passion) and helping parents to find solutions for their children’s eating problems.
Recently Jean was awarded the Community Mentor Award at 6th ANCA International Autism Festival held in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
