“I don’t think of myself as an “achiever” or goal-driven person, but because the previous two books by The Wellness Universe (on Happiness and on Stress Relief) were so good, I decided to give this just-released “Tools to Achieve Anything” a look-see. I do love the format of short chapters with lots of different stories – 25 in this new book. The writers are professionals and the topics quite diverse. I assumed something would interest me – and YES! They’ve gone and done it again! Each chapter I read gave me insight and I learned something new.

Like, I know basically nothing about airplanes, but David McLeod’s “Afterburners Engaged!’ (Chapter 22) took me on a soaring and engaging ride about flying through life with self-generated enthusiasm and purpose. I have enthusiasm in life, but hadn’t connected it with being an achiever. Now, you may not want to spend years learning to fly fighter jets like he did, but the tips and tools in his story have been valuable to me in simply living a meaningful life. And then there’s Kathleen Jerin’s “Expanded Love” (Chapter 13) where she writes about Consciousness and Biology, and the inward experience of including the mind and spirit in what we want to accomplish. Her view is less about meeting goals and more about opening your heart and feeling-into what we do.

Whether you want help with the how-to of accomplishing a goal or if you’re interested in a deeper experience of anything, I recommend this book.
