“There is a branch of yoga that is dedicated to what and how we eat; simply you become what you think, say, and do. This is not a quick fix diet plan or any specific diet but rather an understanding of how foods affect our weight, stress, moods, sleep, sex, and holistic health and what we can do to improve our health; body, mind, and soul. It is called HEALTH.”
Session 1 – 7/18: Holistic Health – An assessment of what is holistic health.
Session 2 – 8/15: EAT – You are what and how you eat – what are the foods that are sabotaging you and what foods can we incorporate to build vitality.
Session 3 – 9/20: Action – How movement is essential to a healthy digestion as well as overall holistic health with a discussion around movement with yoga poses aimed at specific health and digestion.
Session 4 – 10/17: Liberation – The freedom to choose how to liberate yourself from the patterns and habits that are holding you back from reaching your most vital self.
Session 5 – 11/21: Trine – Joining the body, mind, and soul; how the ritual of eating is more than just feeding the body, it’s also mindful and soulful. We are a trine – a three part being: Body, mind, soul.
Session 6 – 12/19: Harmony – Creating harmony body, mind and soul which means perfect balance and perfect balance means perfect HEALTH. Conclusion, overview, and Q&A
Dr. Anderson holds a Ph. D in Natural Health and an N.D. with an emphasis in Aromatherapy, herbology and nutrition. She is a Certified Yoga Therapist and an adjunct Professor at LMU. She is the developer and owner of Kosmos Education, providing continuing education credits to health and fitness professionals. Dr. Anderson was the corporate educator for Aroma Vera, an international aromatherapy company. As such she traveled and lectured extensively both nationally and internationally.
She co-developed a weekly radio talk show about anti-aging and alternative medicine. She is a published author of a nutritional book, several books on yoga and natural health and a contributing writer to the Journal of Longevity, as well as an advisory board member.
She has been a speaker at the Chopra Center of Well Being. Dr. Anderson is a faculty member to the American Council in Exercise and has presented at various conventions throughout the U. S. She has been featured in Shape, SELF, SPRY, Red Book magazines, the Chicago Times, as well as numerous other major publications and radio shows.
She is a contributing writer to the Huffington Post, Authority Magazine and Wisdom Times. Dr. Anderson is a Yoga Alliance registered teacher and education provider. She is a Spin certified instructor and a member of ACE, IAYT and POLY. She produced several fitness DVDs with international distribution; Doctor Lynn’s Anti-Aging Workouts; produced as a six-part TV show. She is the Author of the Soul Walking Series and The Naturopathic Wellness Series.
