Every 2nd Monday for 12 months, launching 01/09/2023, join us live for Elizabeth’s 90-minute class at 3 pm PT/6:00 pm ET where you will experience support, transformation, and community.

Elizabeth brings her experience in stress management, trauma and addiction recovery, embodied social justice, yoga – including meditation and the yoga of sound – and neuroscience as it relates to trauma recovery and healing. She is also grounded and knowledgeable in the areas of compassion and forgiveness and is a prolific writer and journaler.

Sessions will be rich in information and include exercises, tools, activities, and/or reflection questions. Accompanying worksheets with supplemental information and tools to facilitate learning will also be included where applicable.

Here is what to expect:

1/9 Session 1: What is Trauma? What is Trauma Recovery? Students will learn what trauma is, our current understanding of how it affects us, and what it means to be “trauma-informed.” Individual trauma vs. collective trauma will be covered. A discussion of trauma recovery and the importance of healing trauma in a safe relationship space will be included as part of the basic understanding of trauma recovery. Students will also have an experience of Ancestral Clearing®.

2/13 Session 2: What is Mindfulness? Students will learn mindfulness and why it is a beneficial tool for any healing journey. They will be led into an experience of it. Students will have an opportunity to share how they can bring mindfulness into their lives as part of daily living.

3/13 Session 3: Identifying Recovery Phases: Students will be able to identify a realistic blueprint for a recovery journey based on the powerful and scientifically proven framework developed by Dr. Debi Silber and the PBT Institute around healing from betrayal.

4/10 Session 4: Awareness of Self and the Collective: Students will be encouraged to investigate how their personal behaviors, beliefs, and cultural, societal, and systemic influences have impacted their lived experiences. A discussion of historical trauma will be included.

7/10 Session 7: Breathing: Students will learn the science of breathwork and its place in trauma recovery, different types of breathing, the value breath has on healing, and how to use it in a mindfulness practice and daily life.

8/14 Session 8: Understanding the Importance of Regulation in Healing: Students will learn the basics of the vagus nerve, its importance in the trauma experience, and how to access it to heal and find stability in their recovery.

9/11 Session 9: Journaling: Students will learn the history of journaling, the benefits for the mind, body, and spirit, and how to use it in a mindfulness practice.
